The FIRE is the lighter weight version of the original heavy duty MITOS reel. It has a thinner spool centre and a 15% greater reel line capacity, without increasing its combined weight. It is a vertical type reel with excellent quality construction, operation and mounting system.

The automatic brake release allows control of the flow of resistance, for the correct and safe unwinding of lines. The FIRE reel is a referance design and study point for all other reels in the global market. The materials, the unique innovative way of mounting and well thought out, elegant design, ensure the longevity, even with hard and frequent use. This stainless steel reel is tough and highly durable, making it suitable for any kind of spearfishing and even for the most demanding user.

The FIRE exploits to the maximum the size relationship to line capacity, as the drum has a perforated plastic shaft and customised open design metal spool. The result is the absolute lowest weight, volume and size according to the reel’s capacity, while allowing easier cleaning and faster drying of the reel line, to minimise deterioration of line.

The base of the reel is made of marine grade stainless steel, CNC laser cut and formed using special jigs. The design of the base allows easy installation onto most spearguns, either onto the barrel or the trigger guard. The base assembly is riveted, so there are no outside protrusions to cause problems. There are three axle spacers at strategic points around the drum and one through the bending of the base, eliminating any chance of tangling or escape of the line off the drum.

The winding lever can be slid in and out, to limit centrifugal forces and can be varied, depending on the radius of movement desired by the user. The lever is made of stainless steel for strength and durability. This lever is globally unique - acting also as a regulator of flow resistance. The patented system does not contain any O-rings, bolts or threads, which with frequent friction and hard manual use, very quickly become ineffective and eventually don’t work. The lever is not just a common folding lever pivot, but a reliable resistance regulator for excellent performance and longevity. The lever can be slid to adjust resistance during unwinding, when the automatic brake has already released the spool.

All components have superbly finished smooth edges and the reel is available in 2 sizes to fit many size speargun and spearfishing applications.
