Based on the old Picasso foot pockets the redesigned Power foot pockets are one of two new models from Picasso, Power and Speed.
We found the Power foot pockets to have good moderate stiffenss tendons that give the blade adequate support without adversely affecting its flex pattern.
By contrast the tendons of the Speed foot pockets are very soft and in our opinion do not offer enough support for a carbon blade.
The sole of the Power foot pockets is stiff allowing for good power transfer from the leg to the blade.
The upper part of the foot pocket is soft and comfortable and can be used by divers with a high instep. A strip of more rigid material running across the the top of the foot pocket in the toe area anchors the fins to the foot.
The Picasso Power foot pockets use the conventional fin blade installation system, where the foot pocket tendons snap over the T shaped rubber blade rails. The Picasso power footpockets will accept most standard shaped composite blades with footpocket rails installed.
